THCA HASH

AFGHAN THCA HASH TEA

AFGHAN THCA HASH TEA

Afghan is one of the oldest and most revered hash profiles in the world. A true indica lineage from the mountain regions of Afghanistan where hemp has been cultivated and pressed into hash for centuries. The terpene profile is built around Beta-Caryophyllene, Terpinolene and Myrcene, producing a deep, bold aromatic character of rich resin, black pepper, pine and sage. Earthy and spicy at the primary level, resinous and herbal underneath, with a smooth warmth that's distinctly its own. The closest thing in the range to traditional Afghan hashish. Pressed hash format. Brewed as a tea.

    DESCRIPTION

Hemp has been pressed into hash for centuries. The process consolidates resin-rich plant material into a dense, cohesive form that brews cleanly and consistently in hot water. Nowhere is that tradition more deeply rooted than in Afghanistan, where the mountain regions of the Hindu Kush have been producing pressed hemp resin for generations using techniques that predate the modern concept of cannabis genetics by hundreds of years.

The Afghan terpene profile is built around Beta-Caryophyllene as the dominant compound, alongside Terpinolene and Myrcene. Beta-Caryophyllene provides the black pepper spice and earthy pungency that defines the primary aromatic character. Terpinolene contributes the pine, sage and herbal secondary notes that give the profile its particular depth and complexity. Myrcene provides the earthy, resinous warmth that runs through the base and ties the whole profile together. The combined character is bold, spicy and deeply earthy with a resinous richness that's characteristic of Afghan-origin genetics. In the cup the pepper spice and earthy character comes through immediately. The pine and sage herbal notes develop as the brew steeps and the warm resinous depth is fully present at the end of the steep.

All ingredients are independently lab tested. We calculate cannabinoid percentages from verified constituent lab reports. Certificate of Analysis available on this page.

How to brew: break a small piece and place in your infuser or tea bag. Pour water at around 80°C. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. A splash of full-fat or oat milk helps the fat-soluble compounds integrate into the brew and softens the bold spice character.

Sold for hot water infusion and herbal tea use only. Do not combust, vape or expose to high temperatures. Store sealed, away from heat and direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Not for use by persons under 18.

    Heat Exposure Risk Notice

If this tea extract is exposed to combustion or sufficiently high heat (well above brewing temperature), decarboxylation may occur, resulting in the chemical conversion of THCA into Δ9-THC.

Δ9-THC is classified as a controlled substance under UK law. Any alteration of the cannabinoid profile through heat exposure may therefore change the legal status of the material.

    Potential Side Effects of Δ9-THC:

In some individuals, Δ9-THC has been associated with adverse physiological or psychological responses. Reported adverse responses include disorientation, anxiety, altered perception, impaired coordination, nausea, increased heart rate, and temporary cognitive disturbance.

These risks do not apply to normal brewing at or below boiling point, and may arise only through combustion, vaporisation, or other misuse.

Afghan THCA Hash Tea | The Bud Works

Afghan hash has a history that most hemp products simply can't claim. The mountain regions of Afghanistan and the broader Hindu Kush corridor have been producing pressed hemp resin for hundreds of years, using techniques passed down through generations of cultivators who understood the plant long before the rest of the world began paying attention. The earthy, spicy and deeply resinous character of Afghan-origin genetics became a global reference point for what quality pressed hash should smell, taste and feel like. It influenced European hemp culture profoundly from the 1960s onwards and continues to be the benchmark against which other hash profiles are measured.

This Afghan THCA hash tea is built around a terpene profile designed to capture that character. Beta-Caryophyllene dominates and provides the black pepper spice and earthy pungency that defines Afghan at the primary level. Terpinolene contributes the pine, sage and herbal secondary notes that give the profile its complexity and depth. Myrcene provides the warm, resinous base that ties everything together. In the cup the bold spice and earthy character is present from the first pour. The pine and herbal notes develop through the steep and the full rich, resinous depth of the Afghan profile is there at the end. Adding milk softens the spice and brings the warmer, resinous base character forward which makes for a noticeably different and more rounded cup.

For anyone building a hemp tea ritual who wants to connect with the deepest roots of hash culture, this is the most direct expression of that in the range.

THCA as a Naturally Occurring Hemp Compound

THCA is tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, a naturally occurring compound found in raw hemp. It belongs to the same family of plant compounds as CBDA found in hemp flower. Just as ginger contains compounds in its raw form that change when cooked, THCA exists in its natural acid form in unheated hemp. It's non-psychoactive in this state and is not a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Brewing hemp as a tea at temperatures well below decarboxylation threshold keeps the compound in its natural form. The Bud Works sells all THCA products exclusively for hot water infusion. Combustion and vaping are not an intended or supported use.

All ingredients are independently lab tested and we calculate cannabinoid percentages from verified constituent lab reports. Delta-9 THC is below 0.2%, within UK legal limits. Sold for hot water infusion only.
