THCA HASH

BLUE CHEESE THCA HASH TEA

BLUE CHEESE THCA HASH TEA

Blue Cheese is a profile that divides opinion and that's partly what makes it worth having in the range. A UK-origin indica cross of Blueberry and UK Cheese genetics, it produces a genuinely unusual combination of sweet berry-forward primary notes and a distinct savoury cheese-adjacent secondary character that shouldn't work as well as it does. Myrcene dominant with Alpha-Pinene, Beta-Caryophyllene and Limonene providing pine, peppery and citrus secondary structure. Sweet and savoury in the same cup. Bold and distinctive. Not for everyone and all the better for it. Pressed hash format. Brewed as a tea.

    DESCRIPTION

Hemp has been pressed into hash for centuries. The process consolidates resin-rich plant material into a dense, cohesive form that brews cleanly and consistently in hot water. One of the oldest and most established hemp formats in existence and one of the most practical for a daily tea ritual. Break a piece, place it in an infuser, pour hot water over it and the profile releases steadily through the steep.

Blue Cheese is a UK-origin cross of Blueberry and UK Cheese genetics. DJ Short's Blueberry brings the sweet, berry-forward and fruit-adjacent primary aromatic character that sits at the top of the profile. UK Cheese, itself a Skunk #1 phenotype, contributes the distinctive savoury cheese-adjacent secondary notes that give Blue Cheese its particular identity and make it unlike anything else in the range. Myrcene at 34.6% dominates and provides the earthy, herbal base. Alpha-Pinene at 17% adds a fresh pine note alongside the berry primary. Beta-Caryophyllene at 15% provides peppery depth. Limonene at 8.8% adds a light citrus lift. Linalool at 2.5% contributes a subtle floral background. The terpene profile is complex and layered. In the cup the sweet berry and cheese-adjacent character comes through clearly and the two sit against each other in a way that's unusual and genuinely interesting. The earthy pine depth develops as the brew steeps.

All ingredients are independently lab tested. We calculate cannabinoid percentages from verified constituent lab reports. Certificate of Analysis available on this page.

How to brew: break a small piece and place in your infuser or tea bag. Pour water at around 80°C. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Worth trying without milk first to get the full character before deciding whether to add it.

Sold for hot water infusion and herbal tea use only. Do not combust, vape or expose to high temperatures. Store sealed, away from heat and direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Not for use by persons under 18.

    Heat Exposure Risk Notice

If this tea extract is exposed to combustion or sufficiently high heat (well above brewing temperature), decarboxylation may occur, resulting in the chemical conversion of THCA into Δ9-THC.

Δ9-THC is classified as a controlled substance under UK law. Any alteration of the cannabinoid profile through heat exposure may therefore change the legal status of the material.

    Potential Side Effects of Δ9-THC:

In some individuals, Δ9-THC has been associated with adverse physiological or psychological responses. Reported adverse responses include disorientation, anxiety, altered perception, impaired coordination, nausea, increased heart rate, and temporary cognitive disturbance.

These risks do not apply to normal brewing at or below boiling point, and may arise only through combustion, vaporisation, or other misuse.

Blue Cheese THCA Hash Tea | The Bud Works

Blue Cheese is a profile with a distinctly British identity. The cross of DJ Short's Blueberry with UK Cheese, a Skunk #1 phenotype that emerged from the UK scene in the 1990s, produces a combination that sits unlike anything else in the range. Sweet berry and blueberry-forward primary notes from the Blueberry side, savoury cheese-adjacent secondary character from the UK Cheese genetics, earthy pine and peppery depth underneath from the terpene profile's Myrcene, Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Caryophyllene composition. The contrast between sweet and savoury in the same cup is unusual, memorable and consistently divisive in the best possible way.

UK Cheese as a lineage is worth understanding because it explains why the profile is what it is. A Skunk #1 phenotype that developed its distinctive cheese-adjacent aromatic character through extended curing practices in the UK underground scene, it became one of the most talked-about profiles in British hemp culture from the late 1990s onwards. Blue Cheese takes that cheese heritage and softens and sweetens it with the berry depth of the Blueberry parent. The result is less aggressive than a straight Cheese profile and more complex than a straightforward berry brew.

In pressed hash format the interaction between the berry and cheese-adjacent notes comes through clearly and consistently. Worth trying it without milk first to get the full character of the profile before deciding whether to add it. The savoury note becomes more subtle with milk and the berry sweetness comes forward.

THCA as a Naturally Occurring Hemp Compound

THCA is tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, a naturally occurring compound found in raw hemp. It belongs to the same family of plant compounds as CBDA found in hemp flower. Just as ginger contains compounds in its raw form that change when cooked, THCA exists in its natural acid form in unheated hemp. It's non-psychoactive in this state and is not a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Brewing hemp as a tea at temperatures well below decarboxylation threshold keeps the compound in its natural form. The Bud Works sells all THCA products exclusively for hot water infusion. Combustion and vaping are not an intended or supported use.

All ingredients are independently lab tested and we calculate cannabinoid percentages from verified constituent lab reports. Delta-9 THC is below 0.2%, within UK legal limits. Sold for hot water infusion only.
