DESCRIPTION
Piatella is a hash format with roots in European artisan extraction. Traditionally it's produced through cold-separation, isolating trichome heads at low temperatures before hand-pressing the collected material into its characteristic soft, pliable form. The result is denser in trichome concentration than conventional pressed hash, darker in appearance, and noticeably more resinous in texture. It's a format that takes considerably more time and care to produce than a standard block press, and that shows in the finished product.
Glue Gas Mintz is a house terpene blend drawing from three lineages that each contribute something distinct. Gorilla Glue #4, from a Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel genetic foundation, provides the dominant gas-adjacent, diesel and pungent earthy primary character. The Gas lineage deepens and amplifies that fuel backbone rather than softening it. The Mints parent, whether Kush Mints or Animal Mints, is where the contrast comes from. Cooling, mint-adjacent and sweet-cream compounds that sit underneath the fuel character and give the profile a depth it wouldn't have without them. It's a demanding profile and it's meant to be.
As a hot water infusion the gas and earthy character comes through clearly. The mint and cream notes develop more as the brew steeps. Give it time.

How to brew: take a small piece, break it down and place in your infuser or tea bag. Pour water at around 80°C. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Adding full-fat or oat milk helps the fat-soluble compounds integrate into the brew.

Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel in the lineage produces a pungent, gas-adjacent and earthy primary character that's immediately distinctive. The Gas lineage on top of that doesn't soften it, it amplifies it. The Mints genetics are what make the profile genuinely interesting rather than just loud. Cooling, mint-adjacent and sweet-cream compounds that run underneath everything else and give the whole thing a complexity that a single-lineage gas profile wouldn't have.
Presented in Piatella format, which matters for how it brews. Piatella is traditionally among the most refined hash formats produced. Cold-separation extraction isolates trichome heads before pressing rather than collecting kief broadly from dried material. The hand-pressing that follows is exactly that, done by hand rather than mechanically. The combination produces a soft, resinous material with a higher trichome concentration and a more expressive terpene character than standard pressed hash. In the cup the difference is noticeable. More aromatic, more layered, and the gas and mint character has more presence across the full steep.

THCA is tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, a naturally occurring compound found in raw hemp. It belongs to the same family of plant compounds as CBDA found in hemp flower. Just as ginger contains compounds in its raw form that change when cooked, THCA exists in its natural acid form in unheated hemp. It's non-psychoactive in this state and is not a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
