DESCRIPTION
Crumble is produced through an extended low-heat purge of extracted cannabinoid material. The process removes residual moisture and results in a dry, porous, honeycomb-like texture that breaks apart readily. Drier than wax, more stable at room temperature than a soft extract, and one of the cleaner formats to measure and work with in an infuser. The terpene character is well preserved through the purge process which is why crumble tends to be more aromatic than its dry texture might suggest.
Key Lime Cherry brings together two lineages that approach fruitiness from entirely different directions. Key Lime Pie, a Purple Caper Seeds phenotype from the Girl Scout Cookies family, leads with sharp tart lime zest and a sweet doughy cookie base. The OG Kush and Durban Poison heritage gives it structure and stops the citrus from being one-dimensional. Hi-Tech Cherry is a Cambodian and Panama BX3 cross, a heavily sativa-leaning lineage that produces vivid mixed fruit character, cherry-forward and berry-adjacent primary notes with a spicy floral haze background. The two profiles sit against each other rather than blending into something neutral. Lime and citrus sharpness at the top, cherry and mixed fruit depth underneath, with haze-adjacent aromatic lift running through the whole blend. In the cup the lime and citrus comes through first and the cherry and fruit depth develops as the brew steeps.

The downside, from a production standpoint, is that these terpenes are batch-specific and cultivar-specific. How to brew: crumble a small amount into your infuser or tea bag. Pour water at around 80°C. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. A splash of full-fat or oat milk helps the fat-soluble compounds integrate into the brew. The material won't fully dissolve and that's completely normal.

The Purple Caper Seeds phenotype takes the OG Kush and Durban Poison heritage of Girl Scout Cookies and emphasises the sharp tart lime citrus side of it, producing a profile that's refreshing and dessert-adjacent at the same time. Zesty lime at the primary level, a sweet doughy cookie base underneath. It's a contrast that works cleanly.
Hi-Tech Cherry is where the blend gets interesting. A Cambodian and Panama BX3 cross, Hi-Tech is a heavily sativa-leaning lineage with a vivid mixed fruit and cherry-forward aromatic character. Strawberry, cherry and berry primary notes with a spicy floral haze background from the Cambodian and Panama heritage. In the blend with Key Lime Pie the two profiles don't merge into one thing. The lime sharpness sits at the top level, the cherry and mixed fruit character sits underneath it, and the haze-adjacent spicy floral notes run through the background and give the whole profile an aromatic lift that stops it settling.
Why This Batch Cannot Be Reproduced
Most terpene profiles used in hemp extracts are produced through steam distillation or CO2 extraction, both of which are consistent, repeatable processes that can be run again from a new batch of plant material with a predictably similar result. The Key Lime Pie terpenes in this blend are different. They're hydrocarbon extracted, meaning they were taken directly from the source cultivar using a butane or propane solvent. This extraction method captures the full terpene fraction of the living plant, including lighter and more volatile aromatic compounds that steam distillation and CO2 extraction typically miss or lose during processing. The result is a terpene oil that's genuinely truer to the plant it came from - more complete, more expressive and more representative of the actual cultivar.
The consequence of that is batch specificity. Hydrocarbon-extracted terpenes are tied to a specific run of a specific plant. When that plant material is gone, the exact terpene profile it produced is gone with it. You can run the same cultivar again and get something similar, but it won't be identical.
