DESCRIPTION
Hemp has been brewed as a tea for thousands of years. The Nepalese Temple Ball is one of the most distinctive forms it's ever taken, defined as much by how it's made as what it is.
Production starts with hemp-derived kief as the base material. It's worked and hand-rolled under controlled conditions, with repeated rolling consolidating the material into a dense, cohesive sphere. The exterior develops a characteristic dark, slightly glossy finish through the rolling process. The interior stays softer and more workable. Both are natural results of the method. No mechanical pressing, no additives, no shortcuts.
The LCG designation refers to Lemon Cherry Gelato, derived from Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies. Citrus-forward at the primary level, with bright lemon and cherry aromatic notes, a sweet creamy base from the Sherbet side, and earthy depth running underneath from Myrcene and Caryophyllene. As a hot water infusion the profile releases gradually. The citrus lifts first, the creamier base develops as it steeps.

How to brew: break a small portion from the ball and place in your infuser or tea bag. Pour water at around 80°C. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. The material won't fully dissolve and that's completely normal. A splash of full-fat or oat milk helps the fat-soluble compounds integrate into the brew.

The technique, known in its live-plant form as charas, involves collecting fresh resin by hand directly from the surface of the plant and rolling it slowly into a dense sphere over hours or sometimes days. The heat from the hands, the repeated working of the material, the gradual consolidation of trichome-rich resin. These are what give a temple ball its defining characteristics: a dark glossy exterior, a soft workable interior, and a density that no mechanical process can replicate.

What Makes Temple Ball Different From Other Hemp Tea Formats
Most pressed hemp tea formats are produced mechanically, kief or extract compressed under pressure into blocks or slabs. A temple ball is different. It's built by hand, worked repeatedly, and defined entirely by the rolling process itself. The resulting material has a layered internal structure and a surface finish that can only come from that method. It's also one of the most historically significant hemp formats ever produced, a craft tradition with centuries of documented use in religious ceremony, cultural practice and everyday life across Nepal and surrounding regions.
