DESCRIPTION
Hemp has been pressed into hash for centuries. The process consolidates resin-rich plant material into a dense, cohesive form that brews cleanly and consistently in hot water. One of the oldest and most established hemp formats in existence and one of the most practical for a daily tea ritual. Break a piece, place it in an infuser, pour hot water over it and the profile releases steadily through the steep.
Permanent Marker is a three-way cross of Biscotti, Jealousy and Sherbet BX. Each parent contributes something distinct and the combination produces a profile that has layers worth paying attention to. Biscotti brings a sweet-baked and earthy depth to the base of the profile. Jealousy, associated with floral and gas-adjacent aromatic compounds, provides the primary character that sits at the top level and gives the profile its edge. Sherbet BX adds candy-sweet secondary notes that soften the gas and floral character without removing it. The sharp, pungent background that runs throughout is characteristic of the combined lineage and is what gives Permanent Marker its recognisable quality. In the cup the floral and gas character comes through first and the sweet candy and earthy depth develops as the brew opens up.

How to brew: break a small piece and place in your infuser or tea bag. Pour water at around 80°C. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. A splash of full-fat or oat milk helps the fat-soluble compounds integrate into the brew.

THCA is tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, a naturally occurring compound found in raw hemp. It belongs to the same family of plant compounds as CBDA found in hemp flower.
