Jet Fuel, also known as G6, is a sativa-leaning hybrid bred by 303 Seeds from Aspen OG and High Country Diesel. It's known for a pungent diesel nose with sour lemon and earthy pine, drawing on both OG Kush and Sour Diesel ancestry. In the UK it's available from The Bud Works as a lab-tested THCA badder tea extract.

Where Jet Fuel came from

Jet Fuel was bred in Colorado by 303 Seeds (303 being Denver's area code). They crossed two of their own Colorado lines, Aspen OG and High Country Diesel, and the result became one of the state's best-known fuel strains.

It's travelled under a few names since: G6, Jet Fuel OG, Jet Fuel Kush and G6 Kush all turn up on menus. They generally point back to the same 303 Seeds cross.

Exactly what the name says.

Jet Fuel genetics and lineage

Jet Fuel is Aspen OG x High Country Diesel: one OG Kush line, one Sour Diesel line.

Aspen OG carries SFV OG Kush genetics and gives Jet Fuel its earthy, pine-adjacent depth.

High Country Diesel brings East Coast Sour Diesel into the mix, with the pungent fuel and sour, lemon-adjacent edge. The wider family tree also includes G13 and Skunk.

Is Jet Fuel indica or sativa?

It's a hybrid that leans sativa, often listed at around 70% sativa, reflecting the Sour Diesel side.

Worth knowing

Indica and sativa describe plant ancestry and structure more than anything you can predict about a product. The terpene profile tells you far more. More in Sativa, Indica, Hybrid: Do They Still Matter?

Jet Fuel terpene profile

Our current batch is led by three terpenes, in this order:

LeadsMyrceneEarthy · musky · herbal

The earthy body underneath the fuel, from the OG side.

SupportsLimoneneCitrus · sour · sharp

The sour, lemon-adjacent edge that runs alongside the diesel.

GroundsCaryophyllenePeppery · warm · spicy

A peppery warmth that adds weight. The only common terpene known to bind directly to the CB2 receptor.

Terpene order varies by batch and grower. New to terpenes? Start with Terpenes: What They Are and Why They Matter.

What does Jet Fuel smell like?

Diesel, first and loudest. A sour, lemon-adjacent citrus runs alongside it, with an earthy, pine-adjacent depth underneath from the Aspen OG side.

It's assertive and immediate. Not one for anyone after a subtle cup.

Why is it called Jet Fuel?

For the aroma: it smells like fuel, and lots of it. G6, its other common name, has never been officially explained by 303 Seeds.

Jet Fuel as a THCA badder tea extract

At The Bud Works, Jet Fuel is a THCA badder tea extract. Our current batch is lab tested at 85.6% THCA, led by myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene, with Delta-9 THC at or below the 0.2% UK limit. The full certificate of analysis is on the product page.

The terpenes are hydrocarbon extracted from the Jet Fuel cultivar itself, and badder is a soft, whipped format that spreads evenly in an infuser:

First minute

Pungent diesel comes off the cup straight away.

Minutes 2–3

A sour lemon edge sharpens alongside the fuel.

By minute 5

Earthy pine settles in at the base of the cup.

Brewing tip

Around 80°C rather than a rolling boil keeps more of the volatile limonene. Full method in Making the Cup.

Limited run: these terpenes come from a specific batch of source material. Intended for hot-water herbal tea infusion only. Not for combustion.
